Rebound Hammer Test for Existing RCC Terrace Slab – Vellalur, Coimbatore
PM Testoraa Labs carried out a Rebound Hammer Test (RHT) on an existing RCC terrace slab at Venkateshwara Nagar, Vellalur, Coimbatore, on 20 June 2026.
The testing was conducted to assess the surface hardness, uniformity, and indicative in-situ compressive strength of the existing concrete using a non-destructive testing method.

Evaluating the condition and strength of existing concrete is important before undertaking renovation, structural modifications, additional floor construction, installation of rooftop solar panels, or other additional loading on an existing building.
The test results provided useful information on the condition and relative quality of the RCC slab, supporting further structural assessment and engineering decisions regarding the proposed use or modification of the building.
